Default S88 on a 408 with stock pcm possible??

I'm considering doing an S88 on my 408 over the winter. If I go this route I won't be able to do BS3 this season. Would I be able to run this combo at all on the stock computer? Are there any other options? Maft pro??? thanks for any input.

No need for a MAF. 2 bar or 3 bar SD works perfect and easy to tune.

If you have a 98 it's harder due to weak 98 computer but it can be done.Just did one 2 days ago.

You are going to have to run an injector driver box to run 96#ers with the stock PCM to support the power..... I made over 1Krwhp with 38 less cubes with the S88.....
If your really gunna push it you might have to go bigger then that...... last time out i was out if injector... 87%...

what does it take to go from stock 98 pcm to 3 bar big injectors etc like what the guy needs

tuning platform - efi live or hpt? $
injector conroller - brands and $
3 bar convsersion goodies ? $
wideband and controller / converter $
98 to 99+ pcm conversion $

i see aftermarket EFI boxes go through the f/s section for 1500+/-

I should add that I already have HPT and an LM1 wideband if that helps or hurts me any.

Or you could convert to a 99+ system for the cost of the PCM, engine harness, and connectors. That's what I plan on doing shortly.

As I here eveerybody talking about a 3 bar I am wondering if you are going to be running very little on the street and mostly on the strip. That means Race Gas or ment injection for the street. It is not the boost alone that makes horsepower; it is a combination of boost and CFM.

I have seen cars with higher boost, but restricted exhaust or intake systems on a Turbo Car make much less horsepower than a well designed Turbo system with lower boost. It all works together. What you really want to know is how much CFM can the Turbo push through the Turbo system.

I don't think there was ever a resolution to this question. I had asked the guys at HPT about the 3 bar setup and they said they had no intentions of producing that product, but they also said the same thing 3 years ago when I asked about 2 bar SD setup availability. Maybe they will chime in on this thread.
