a little FI predicament!
i currently have my h/c ready to go on but really want to go fi. i am on stock 10 bolt and neeed tires. i just sold my bike for 2500 and thats really all i have. should i put it into a rear and just go h/c and nitrous. or sell the heads for about $500~ MMS stage 3 ported, and pick up a turbo kit for around 2k and used the $1000 in a professional install and tune?
what you guys think?

3K won't even cover a DIY turbo kit with the supporting essentials. Go ahead and do your drivetrain upgrades, that way if you have more money for FI in the future, you already have that covered. Either way, you will never regret upgrading the driveline like you will regret getting half way through an FI build and running out of money to finish.

planning on getting a complete turbo kit for 2k is pretty much out of the question, there are so many flaws with this plan I would have to recommend going nitrous unless you really do some more home work

You can do some pretty good damage with $2k but just don't expect to get everything.... you can do things in stages... Like do your fuel, or suspension, or whatever and then move on to something else... I've done ALL of my own work and saved so much money doing it that way too.... The cool thing is you don't have to be a great mechanic because whatever you need to do there are step by step manuals on everything these days... Goodluck and if you're really wanting to do it then just don't let anyone talk you out of it...

there are some pretty good deals to be had out there and if you can fabricate some of the stuff you can you can really save alot of money. Really depends on what kind of hp your going for. Im sure one of the old TTi kits well probable be pretty cheap. I sold mine for 2500 i believe. Save yourself some money and do the install youself, but under no circumstance should you half-*** the fuel and tunning.
