need a good fuel pump controller
i would rather not completely redo the pump set up and supply configuration to save the guy cash.. if i had a good controller thats all i would need and i could sell this one he had.
3 inline walbros would only set me back maybe 400 bux start to finish of the change over though.. and i could kick the second two on by the dfi box... hmm
I dont understand ya there John...... it worked..... it was louder then then the exhaust but on a car you dont D/D or drive more then 10 times a YR....
When mine is back togeather we think ill run out of pump with the Proseries pump...... Weldon 2035 or so is next prob....... ill have to wait and see....
David any luck with DFI turning on the 2nd pump??
With both setups, I had problems with the crappy push on terminals for the pump, melting.
It would appear they werent making sufficiently good contact, and overheated/arced, and could have caused a fire.
Anyone else have similar problems ?
Im just running a plain dual Bosch in parallel, with both pumps running at all times. Simple, and it works for me. They make a little noise, installed in trunk under the tank, but once the engine is running, you cant hear them.
if Bosch pumps are good enough for OE fitment, reliability is not a concern. Ive been running them like that for over 6000 miles now, with a magnafuel regulator.
I also added a small oil ( fuel ) cooler on the return back to the tank, although its mounting location isnt ideal underneath the car.
