I agree!

All the truck engines are great for some budget boosted horse power.

Dave has put about 5k street miles on his Lq9 at 825whp. Now its on E85 with an 80e. At 4000lbs race weight in a other wise stock 05' GTO he went 9.1@141, on 17" drag radials with stock wheels. The funny thing is it too does not use any oil and idles like a kittin.

Since I spun a bearing in my 5.3 I have a stock LQ4 I put together with better bearings and rod bolts. just got that running yesterday.... I'll see how that holds up.

Do the 5.3 use the same pistons are regular ls1s????????? If so then it seems a miracle since seen many lt1 and ls1 hypercrap pistons blown to hell.

Same type, smaller bore size. The reason you seen them blown up is because of detonation.

Do y'all have any recomendations for bearings and rings? In rebuilding a 5.3 (275,000 miles) and curious what to put. This is on somewhat of a budget
