How much PSI and with what head unit...

How much PSI and with what head unit... I'm getting a iron shortblock with forged pistons (-8 dish)/rods, stock crank. Getting a blower cam, Gonna keep stock heads with new springs, etc. 370-396ci range. I'm guestimating compression should be around 9:1. I'm thinking 20psi but is that pushing it? Myabe I'll just start off with 12 psi. Also what head unit? I'm thinking still using the D-1SC.
