Ok you say those pin-hole leaks are irralvent, well take a look at it like this. when you pressure test your intake plumbing using a valve stem and the method outlined above, how big is the orifice the air travels through on the tire chock? Its not very big at all, yet in a matter of seconds you can put enough pressure inside your charge piping to reach 15psi on the boost gauge, what does that tell you?

If you don't think its the leaks he discovered then what do you suspect it is?

Having run all kinds of FI setups on many a different motor I've found that leaks in the charge piping/manifold are the cause of many headaches and usually the first place I look when diagnosing a problem. Even more so the case in a SC setup where the amount of boost you run is fixed/linear. unlike on a turbo car where the pressure lose can be overcome or hidden by unintentianly pushing the turbo harder.

I have two or three new plastic plenums in stock, if you want to go with a plastic plenum. We've never had a problem with the plastic plenums, maybe we've been lucky but we've done countless installs with them.

Did you install this cam before or just now that you have a boost loose? Some cams if not designed just right can also cause boost to leak off through the exhaust... What is EPP's cam specs?

Here is our cam. We installed it in an '06 GTO last week along with an ATI ProCharger D-1SC and Kooks headers, and had it at the Super Chevy Show in Indy at the ATI booth area. We made 8 psi without going to a small pulley. Bob

Hey guys I just wanted to say thanks. I been reading several forums on my 99 d1sc c5. It has been not making over 2-3# boost. and this topic listed it all. i had already tried new belt. tightening it more than normal, boost leak test everything. It was sucking the air filter shut! these things get alot of debris where they are mounted. I just cleaned the filter a month ago and it was almost comletely clogged. enought that it was sucking it shut. p.s. dont test drive it with the filter off unless you take the silicone coupler off as well it will suck it in also lol. good thing its only a little bit of rubber.

I take it you have the old design that places the filter low to the ground. Check this link out, this is the newer style. http://shop.brutespeed.com/ATI-2GKSU...-2GKSU-001.htm Bob
