Nope I didn't buy the turbo off of Josh at LMR. I buy and sell a lot of turbos and thought I may as well use this one and build something nasty. I still may change what turbo I end up using but it will be a Thumper for sure.

for a budget, i say 370. I personally wouldn't go with an LSX block for alot of boost because i've seen quite a few ppl have pistons go through the block. Maybe i'm just too paranoid.

I don't think you have worry about big boost on the GMPP LSX block. I am gonna go with the 6.0L iron blocks I already have.
I am gonna sit down after I get off work tonight and look at the budget situation to see where I stand. I am leaning towards keeping the 370 and adding some AFR 225 heads and a new cam. I may use the extra money I save with the 370 and do a Burkhart suspension and sell all the UMI stuff off the car.

I looked a the budget situation this morning. While I have more than enough to do the 408 I am gonna stick with the 370 short block I have. I am gonna add some AFR 225's and my Victor Jr Intake to it, along with a new cam. I will probably sell the Cola Crank I have and build another 370 back up motor with the extra 6.0L block. I appreciate the votes and opinions. I am gonna use the extra funds to set up the rest of the car for the upcoming HP. I am gonna shoot for 1000rwhp and call it a day. Should be more than enough to scare the **** out of me for a little while

Ya, either way you will get over 1xxxrwhp with 18-20 lbs, maybe even less...
Before I blew my motor, I was running 15.5 lbs and made just a touch under 900rwhp, on the stock pcm.
The great thing about FI is that you dont need cubes to make stupid power, but as others have said you will just not need as much boost, and the tq curve will be a little stronger with bigger CI. But your in the business so you know better then I do, lol.

Well I just talked to the guys at Forced Inductions and I am gonna go with thier recomendation. I am gonna have them build me a custom Small Frame Thumper 91mm Turbo. Gonna do a unit that is better suited to the 370 setup I am using right now and will work well witht he NASTY 370 I am gonna start building this fall. The new 370 will see light weight interanls and more RPM then the current engine. It will be built for big Boost.
