LT1 turbo. best heads/intake?

Default LT1 turbo. best heads/intake?

i've got a 383 LT1 w/ a 76GTS at the moment and i'm about to build a 355 to work a little better w/ this particular turbo. my question is, what would be the best heads/intake to use? ported LT4 heads w/ an LT4 intake, or some aftermarket heads w/ a carb'd intake plumbed for fuel injection and an elbow? the LT4 setup would probably be easier since my setup is already plumbed up to the throttlebody and i'd have to change that w/ an elbow, but if it will make a huge difference i'll try the other. tried this in the LT1 section, but wasn't much help.

I,m in the middle of going to a carb intake on my turbo lt1. i would not even bother with the lt1/ lt4 intakes they have horrible air distribution, the front cylinders gobble up all the air and leave the bad cylinders starving. You can mess with a stand alone system and get it to run ok, but that doesn't fix the problem....and I got afr 210/220 heads and they work fine in fact I still use a standard felpro head gasket with psi in the mid 20's

i'm already running 20-25 psi on stock heads w/ no problems. on every website i've seen devoted to LT1/4, they're saying the LT4 heads/intake work great on FI applications. my problem is finding anyone that has a different setup that will work better and where to find the parts. surely somebody has tried something out of the ordinary that can point me in the right direction.

I have a REAL NICE set of AFR 220's and a Fuel Injection Super Victor setup for a forced induction LT1 for sale. Came off my 8 second LT1.

I wouldn't use LT4's in their stock form for a FI build. They'll bump up the compression and cost $$ to make them work efficiently with a blower. For the price, and labor, and hassle, you should get a set of ported Lloyd Elliot or AFR LT1 castings, then a nice carb intake setup with a single plane.

any chance that'll fit under the stock 96 WS6 hood? i'm about to switch everything over to a hardtop firebird body and want it to appear somewhat stock.

funny, if you can read i don't have stock stuff either, what do you want to do different? these guys with the carb set up is what you should do
