Default Snake Slayer is Back!

I am very pleased with the outcome. I will try and take some pics of the car very soon. I actually already took some pics, but it says the files are too large to add as attachments here????? The oiling issue was being caused by the factory PCV system not keeping up with the boost and there was pressure building in my block so the gravity drain was backing up. The A/C is blowing cold as *uck and she runs like a raped ape. Electric cutout is working great with the new turbo. Car was put back on the dyno to double check the A/F after the oiling issue was figured out and she put down 615 rwhp @ 9.9 lbs of boost on pure 91 octane at only 6000 rpms. I am still trying to go a little easy on the new motor as it only has 100 miles on it.

I am used to 420 rwhp with my old H/C package and now it feels like a friggin race car. The power delivery is soooo smoooth it feels like a centrifical blower. Car sounds sooooo sweeet and you gotta love the BOV sound every shift.

Feels *uckin great! Tune is spot on so it drives better than it did before the turbo kit until you give it throttle then the TC76MPS spools so fast and linear that the only way to tell how fast you are going is by looking at the speedo. Gotta love all the gauges also they look bad ***. I am running an AEM tru boost EBC'er and Autometer wideband and digital tach shift light. I still need to learn the tru boost on how to set the high and low boost settings and set the overboost protection and set the scale for the led boost meter. I am surprised how my Toyo 295/35/18 tires hook the car actually has great traction and the auburn ltd slip is doing its job well. Obviosly I can spin them in first second and third, but with proper throttle control I can move out like never before and reel in the horizon like a superbike. Time to go find some 06 Z06 to play with and some modded GT500's.

I ditched the spare and jack and threw in a new BMR chromoly K member to help offset the weight. We also ditched the washer resevoir to make room for the intercooler which stands upright unlike how Hi-Flo had their kit designed. The shop fabbed up a billet catch can system and radiator overflow tank and built custom brackets to hold everything like factory. When you pop the hood the motor looks like it came from Chevy with a turbo on it. My new electric fans keep the temps just as cool if not cooler than before the turbo kit. The A-1000 pump looks bitchen also mounted onto my rear bumper support and its perfectly displayed to warn off suspecting predators.

I will post the graph very soon here! The shop still needs to e mail it to me. Rob Barth the owner of Strictly Performance where the car was built also works with GM High Tech magazine regularly and is gonna get my car into the mag here soon. Stay tuned.

Yes the TC spools very nicely

Mine is still quiet, tho the WG isn't

I'm wanting to see the graph to see how well the power comes on with the TC. I'm still a week or two a way from getting the car running. My new driveshaft was sent with the wrong transmission yoke So i'll have to wait for another one to be sent.

Yea it is hard to hear the TC there is a slight whistle or jet sound under boost other than that you hear the loud *** BOV. My WG is quiet also maybe because it is not dumping into the atmosphere it dumps into the downpipe and everything on my car is sealed perfectly.

There is power and plenty of torque even when it is not in boost I am running 9.8:1 compression so it will accelerate in sixth gear at only 1600 rpm's no problem. The 3:42 gears are perfect.

Sounds like you're on cloud 9! Glad to hear you got everything figured out with the oiling issues. What cam are you running with your setup?

Glad you like your TC76. We have had great sucess with them and of all the ones we have sold, only 1 has ever come back due to something within the turbo and not an outside object being sucked in.

I love the TC76MPS it is very quiet for the stealth mode since they are pretty much highly illegal here in Ca on the street, but this thing no one knows what I have under the hood unless I totally floor it and shift under boost then you can hear the BOV other than that the jet sound is really pretty subtle. It starts to spool on my car at only 2500 rpms and I am at full boost probibly around 3700 rpms. The boost gauge will shoot to 12 lbs in like a second. The polished compressor housing and the gold anodized piece compliment each other very nice and Hi-Flo supplied a fully polished stainless steel turbine housing heat shield that makes the whole thing look like art.

I have been touching 12 lbs of boost and do not want to take it any higher thats for sure on the 91 octane here in ca. I think it is putting down over 650 rwhp on pump now. It is plenty fast thats for sure.
