Vortech users inside
Due to the multiple belt/bracket issues with the ATI setup, I'm leaning towards the vortech setup. (please do not use this as a "troubleshooting" forum for the ATI problems)
...NEway, I'm looking for experiences with the Vortech setup...good or bad. I have H/C, and my cam is actually not too bad for a supercharger setup...and as such I will be keeping it. I'm trying for 8-9psi with my current setup...I'll be rebuilding the bottom end later, and will pursue higher boost at that time.
What kind of numbers are people seeing with the 9psi kit on H/C setups (psi and rwhp/tq)?
Was the inline fuel pump enough?
Is the S-trim enough for 600rwhp (obviously with built bottom end and 10+psi...stock cubes)?
Anyone running a custom intercooler setup similar to the ATI version? I don't like the idea of cutting my hood.
Thanks in advance for the replies.

Check my posts under the Spectacle Solutions' Lid topic.
How about 446 RWHP "stock" Vortech kit and 463 with the lid?
That's on a completely stock motor with even the silly AC Delco paper filter.
Sounds like you are going for something beyond what I have, but I'll tell you that with just the addition of the 9 lb kit, the car is seriously fast and more than enough to make me grin and blow the doors off 99% of the competition on the street.
No streetability problems, good gas mileage, NO detonation, and the T-rex pump and RC injectors do a great job.

I had one, even with a custom intercooler you still need to cut the hood for the supercharger to fit. The head unit sticks up too far.
Good luck
Andy
PS You shouuld see 550RWHP

Drop me an e-mail and/or visit my webpage for any questions.
By the way, you have the perfect cam and heads for 525-550RWHP @ 9PSI with the V9 G-trim. Change over to the 12PSI pulley and you'll be damn near 600.
Cutting the underside of your SS hood is no big deal. There are plenty of shops that can do it right and paint it so you don't even notice it.
Good Luck.
