running a t72 w a q trim on a 383 chevy 38mm wastegate theres a 20lb spring in there so it should make 20 lbs of boost right? it doesnt i get about 9 lbs of boost and like 40lbs of exhaust pressure. im blowing header gaskets out like crazy and turbonetics guys say its good for over 800 hp somebody help!

T72 is too small for a nice flowing 383. Check for boost leaks though....if you have a leak, that would explain the high exhaust pressure with little intake pressure.

What type of BOV? Lose a reference line to your BOV and you'll see some boost, but below your wastegate pressure.

its been running alot better lately i leaned it out alot and fixed exhaust leaks. oh and i was reading the gauge wrong! duh its got like 25 psi on the exhaust. putting the a 1000 fuel pump on and cranking the boost up then its off to wildwood hot rod fest to put it on the dyno 600 hp here i come!
