Default got some dyno numbers on T67/403 mis-matched combo

and the little turbo is hating me
it made 595 RWHP right around 4800 to 5000 RPM and 660 RWTQ at 3500 RPM but the boost was all over the place then it fell off pretty quick which, I think, means I am all out of turbo, but I knew that going in and was planing of a upgrade

that was at a really fat 10.0 to 1 AFR so it should have just a little more in it
it was making 12 PSI at peak TQ but had fell of to around 8.5 or so by 5000 RPM

I guess the T67 GTQ is just way to small for a 403 CID engine

so I guess it just needs a friend

I was spinning the engine up to around 6000 RPM and between 5000 and 6000 it would loose around 100 RWHP at the same boost level

now I just need 2 T67 turbos and a better fuel system and I should be able to put down 900+ to the tires with my six speed, if I dont switch over to the dark side and put an auto in it

I am thinking about a 4l80E

I drive it all the time and dont want to loose overdrive

I think a 4L80E with about a 3.25 gear would rock

Well, the results are to be expected, but its good you made the post. If you can attach the graph of the dyno run it would be cool.

Who picked the turbo for the setup? Q trim on a 403 is just asking for trouble. Backpressure city. Twins on the other hand, that could work nice.

I wouldnt run it too much like that the backpressure will be hard on the motor...

T88 would be nice on that setup (Or twin 67s)

Another T67 abuser. Nice.

What's the plan for manifolds on the twin setup, Darren?

it started as a stock engine with a turbo kit
then I lost compression then I got carried away with the engine

but I did it with plans to do a twin t66/ 60/ or 70 setup

just have not started the twin setup yet

it should be on the car in a couple months or so
