Default Stock Cube LS1, Which Turbo?

Doing an LS1 swap into my 2nd gen S-10, and I need to figure out what turbo to go with.

My motor will be as follows :

02' LS1 shortblock
Diamond Pistons
(decided) Cam
LS6 Intake
6L Heads

Now, I am going to be keeping it stock cubes, don't see the need to go any bigger then 346. So what is the census for turbo size? I was aiming to go with a Turbonetics T76 Turbo.. goal is 600 rwhpish

will be a 3.42 rear, 28" Tire with a six speed if that matters.

Thanks!

Im building a very similar set up but i am using a 76mm turbo. I think 76 mm is best for stock cubes, a 72 or 74 will spool up faster but i think the 76 is still small enough that it will spool up fast and keep going though out your RPM range.

im running the exact same set up.

347 with wiseco pistons(instead of your diamonds) and eagle rods
LS6 intake
Speed Inc TU1 cam
6L heads
T76

just waiting on the motor to get back from HKE and the parts to ship from FX Coatings and my install will begin

A TC76 is probably the most responsive and most capable unit of feeding an LS1 throughout the entire rev range.

If you *really* only want 600 rwhp, honestly, and you'll be *happy* with 600, you can do a T67 at about 11 psi and be fully spooled around 3000 rpm with lots of low-end torque.

But the consensus is generally T76: you will spool almost as fast and make your target (or exceed it, depending on your boost psi) more easily. More beef on the top end, too.

I run a 222/224/.581/114 comp cam with 9.8:1 compression and there is not a lot of boost before 2K, but that is where it starts and it builds fast. I will be posting a dyno sheet very soon the shop is mailing it to me today.
