They should spool quicker Chris. You may want to keep an eye on the wideband. Cutouts usual change the a/f ratio.

I have only drove it around the block. It is getting retuned friday. I figured if it did spool quicker that it would be leaner down low, probably across the board. How about power increase?

The power will definately go up. How much is a good question. The dyno will let you know. Are the cutouts electric? I wanted a boost activated cutout like Jerry had, but they are back ordered to forever.

Yeah they are electric. Hopefully they will last a little while.I know they usually don't though! I am only about 50rwhp away from the 800 mark at 12lbs of boost. Hopefully the cutout's will make that much more of a difference.

on my butt dyno with my old tti street kit i think it was around 75rwhp opening it up.
i tuned it for open, then drove it around closed and opened it up when i wanted to romp on it and had no problems.

Wow! 75rwhp gain and that was on a rear mount. If I could gain that i will be over the 800rwhp mark at 12psi!!! Will find out tommorrow tonight. Oh, I have 2 electric cutout's and only one work's. Brand new also. The other one blow's fuses and want's to burn up the wire.i took them back off and just going to do it manually with plate's as the block off until i get the electrical issue figured out.

I've got a cutout on my I-pipe and I gain 50-60HP over the hooker catback. This is on a 600HP car.

TTI street is a front mount kit.

If you tune for them being open, in my experience with a restrictive, quiet catback, the car will be too rich to even pull through. When I was playing with PE vs RPM, it would take 3-4 psi to get back to the same a/f with the cutout closed compared to open.

Me too. Seems that sometimes, when you relieve backpressure after the turbine, the boost jumps up quite a bit. I went from 18 to ?? psi and blew both head gaskets so bad that it hydrolocked the motor. And that's with 5 bolts per cylinder. . .

No ****.... I have the same catback and same turbo... heck my kit is even similar. I've had a cutout sitting in a box for a long time.

I was told that when I close the cutout's that it would be running richer.it is going to be tuned for them to be opened,. I will have them closed when the wife ride's with me so she won't complain, but it sound's good to me,and i can even here the turbo's now!

Damn. After they got installed,I did a little burnout and the spool time was dramiticly cut, so i decided to not play around with it anymore until it was tuned. I alredy got lucky once, by only burning the tip of the plug off,so i don't want to take any more chance's. i might not be so lucky next time!
