I would kove to a have a 5xx cube engine in the car. The budget wont allow it right now.

I am leaning towards a stock block 454-496 combo. If I can find a good block I can do a 496 for about $2000. I have found a couple Scat and Eagle rotating assemblies with forged components that will give me a 8.5:1 compression ratio for around $1600-1700. I just have to cash in a couple of favors at the machine shop.

Dunno about the turbo yet. Maybe a 91-98mm unit. I have thought about a 101-106mm unit, but think it will be more than I need. I am shooting for 800-1000rwhp. I scaled the build back quite a bit. I was leaning towrds a 588 and a 106mm unit aiming for 1300+rwhp. I had rather keep the car streetable and not have to hack it up for a better cage and suspension.

i feel you. its nice to drive the car some places rather than off/on the trailer. 9x mm sounds more for your liking. that s122 is supposed to be good to 2xxxhp a little more than your planning for

No doubt. Everyone wants a 2000rwhp engine. Just everyone wants to drive it around on pump gas, and it not overheat, and most of all everyone wants it to get 21mpg . I had rather build a solid 454 or 496 and throw on a nice 91mm Turbo and make 800-1000rwhp while not having to push it to the max. Its gonna be a Blow Thru Carb setup. I will end up keeping the boost down around 15lbs or so 90% of the time. I just want to be able to turn it up when the need arises. I like to drive my cars. Most people say my cars end up to radical for the street, but thats the way I like them.

Well I had a slight change in my plans. I have to much SBC stuff laying around. I decided to put together a low compression 383 SBC stroker based around one of my 4 bolt blocks. It should make for a fun street / strip car while I save my pennies for a Dart Based 588 BBC.

Update:

I miss the hell out of my LS1 car. To say the least another LS1 F-Body is on the horizon for me and the shop.

The 72 Split Bumper Camaro is getting a 410ci BBC and TH400 combo as I type. I am gonna get the car running and driving an then put it up for sale. It wont be cheap but I have several interested parties already.

I plan to pick up a nice LS1 F-Body and build a nice driver. Boosted of course. Something similar to the MightyMouse build. I am looking to end up with a high HP street car that I can enjoy.

I am also getting into the 6.0L manifold Hot Parts game. It is in the process right now and I will be offering runs of Charge pipe and Down pipe assemblies. This way the end user can choose what comonents he/she wishes to use.

Anyhow just a heads up.

For the last year I have been doing complete setups. I have decided to do hot parts setups due to the amount of PM's and emails asking for those 2 items. I feel like it is a good direction to go at the shop.
