New Updates at KY Turbo and Performance.
Aside from being slammed at the shop with customer builds, a lot of changes are taking place. Don’t worry guys I am making progress on the builds in the shop. I am working towards taking the shop form a second full time job to my only full time job. I am a one man operation right now so I am taking things slowly. I have been approached by several old school SBC guys and some of my old Ford customers from my last shop about 1 off builds. Here lately I have been doing more 1 off work than production setups.
With that being said, the Shop car is being replaced with a new ride. I am currently working on a trade. I am looking into trading the 2000 Z28 Turbo car I have right now for a 72 Z28 roller that is already caged, has a complete fuel system, suspension, ignition, and so on and some cash. The roller has been mid 8's with a BBC and spray.
I am currently looking into dropping the compression on one of my old SBC 18* degree engines and doing a Blow Thru Turbo setup using a CSU carb. This is new territory for me and I have several potential customers wanting similar setups. I am going to build mine first before jumping into a customers build not knowing the ins and outs of the setups requirements.
I will post up some pics of the new Shop car once the trade is finalized and complete.
I just wanted to give everyone an update on whats happening at the shop.

Blow Thru setup's are not all that hard. You just have to have the right Carb to make it work. I have learned my fair share of tricks along the way. This 72 Z28 will be a winter project for the shop.

Right now I am leaning towards a 498 BBC blow Thru setup. I am wanting to get away for the fuel injected game for a while. I have alway wanted to do a Blow Thru setup and figured now would be a good time to do so. There is just something about a Turbo and a Carb in the same engine bay that interest's me.

I have a 6.0L block and Cola 4" crank sitting in the shop. I have thought about doing a 408 for the car. If I go with an LSx setup it wont be Blow Thru. It will be fuel injected. It would also sport a set of big twins, and be aimed at big numbers and ET.
The simplicity of the BBC Carb Blow Thru setup is still pulling me toward that setup. No wiring harness issues. No ECM issues. The cost is steep though. I keep looking at Merlin Block based 555-588ci short blocks. Not cheap, But able to make stupid power and torque at lower RPM's.
