and now for somethimg completely different..... OFI install!
https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...hlight=ofi+kit
Its baddls1ss build. He just went through all of this. There has been some bad rep going around concerning the OFI kit, and honeslty, i don't blame anyone for being hesitant. However, the kit does perform, realll good! It may need to be clearance a bit but that is the considerable normal when you see the downpipe, for example.
Check out his build. LaterZ!
Dan
We still need to finish the lines for the bov and wastegate, install boost controller, filter for turbo, and a few misc. things to have the turbo kit and motor finished. Next will be the rest of the kit including fuel, rear, sumped tank, trans and driveshaft refitment and remainder of suspension parts.
Well, enjoy!

So what do ya'll think? The Tb charge pipe is just fitted, thus it may look a bit off. Also, the cowl was cut to fit the elbow. However, I think I may want to have the manifold milled .5 down so it can fit under the cowl and just replace the cowl since this one was cut. I don't want water to pour on top of the engine and the way it site now, it may from the pics.
The BOV is a turbonetic Godzilla valve "blowzilla" and the wastegate is their new Neogen gate. Both are quite big and should hold well to the amount of power we are shooting for.
Honestly, I think the kit looks fantastic!! It need some massaging to get everything to fit and function properly but thus far, it looks great.

This is all looking awesome... Did you guys bend the cowl up a bit?
Cannot wait to get it finished so we can cruise!
Yeah, you noticed that huh?!
They were trying to see if it changed the way the hood hit but its gonna get turned around. DP is tiiight!! I know cable suggested a few things so we are gonna see what we may have to move, relocate for more peace of mind!
One more thing, the turbo looks close to the balancer, you think a turbo blanket will fit on there?
Dan
I would say that no, a blanket won't fit on there but there is always a way. MAy the pics are a bit misleading. I would like to get one but then i'm covering up a sweet looking turbo, so, hard choice for me.
I'll get some pics up of the support bracket.
LaterZ!
If you running motor plates, your not running a/c right? Or can you with plates?
Anyways, couldn't you just use truck manifolds but flipped, so that the outlet is point foward an up not down as they are usually run?
I just put a street scenes grill in, painted black. Sorry dont mean to jack ur thread, just showing how it looks.
