hey, i found this:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...hlight=ofi+kit

Its baddls1ss build. He just went through all of this. There has been some bad rep going around concerning the OFI kit, and honeslty, i don't blame anyone for being hesitant. However, the kit does perform, realll good! It may need to be clearance a bit but that is the considerable normal when you see the downpipe, for example.

Check out his build. LaterZ!

Yep, saw that, nice build and results as well. This a good time for Joel to shine with these next couple builds he is doing, mine being one of them. Honestly sounds like he has his stuff together now so we'll see.

I always felt that if joel just added someone to deal with the phones/emails/boards pm's; he would concentrate on getting the kits and not worry us punks bothering him.

Ok, got some update pics on the build. Everything is on for the exception of the driver side IC outlet pipe to TB charge pipe. That is being cut and welded a bit, not much, so its a smoother fit.

We still need to finish the lines for the bov and wastegate, install boost controller, filter for turbo, and a few misc. things to have the turbo kit and motor finished. Next will be the rest of the kit including fuel, rear, sumped tank, trans and driveshaft refitment and remainder of suspension parts.

Well, enjoy!

So what do ya'll think? The Tb charge pipe is just fitted, thus it may look a bit off. Also, the cowl was cut to fit the elbow. However, I think I may want to have the manifold milled .5 down so it can fit under the cowl and just replace the cowl since this one was cut. I don't want water to pour on top of the engine and the way it site now, it may from the pics.

The BOV is a turbonetic Godzilla valve "blowzilla" and the wastegate is their new Neogen gate. Both are quite big and should hold well to the amount of power we are shooting for.

Honestly, I think the kit looks fantastic!! It need some massaging to get everything to fit and function properly but thus far, it looks great.

yeah, im kinda anxious to see what it will sound like. I really like the flutter type sound of a bov over the single whoosh but honestly, it's gonna be loud and nasty!

Cannot wait to get it finished so we can cruise!

Interested in the support also. Joel said the T-6 crossover came with a bracket now, neither of yours did? Also, I have a 3.5" DP coming, will it fit? I almost went with the 4" to..

One more thing, the turbo looks close to the balancer, you think a turbo blanket will fit on there?

The turbo is quite close to the balancer, and with the later installed condenser and fan, it might even be a tight fit on both sides.

I would say that no, a blanket won't fit on there but there is always a way. MAy the pics are a bit misleading. I would like to get one but then i'm covering up a sweet looking turbo, so, hard choice for me.

I'll get some pics up of the support bracket.

LaterZ!

Well, not sure. Im assuming it all depends on the plates you are using and if are willing to massage them to make them fit.

If you running motor plates, your not running a/c right? Or can you with plates?

Anyways, couldn't you just use truck manifolds but flipped, so that the outlet is point foward an up not down as they are usually run?

oh, I see. Fireball has a sweet setup so that wouldn't be a bad way to go.

Question, I always wondered what are the benefits of having engine plates?

That really looks great! You might have some troubles keeping that thing under 200 degrees with limited airflow to the rad. I had cut out my front bumper to gain airflow throughthe intercooler to the rad and make some shrouding to keep the air going right through the intercooler. The airdam wont cut it anymore. I also added a 3rd fan which is a puller on the back of the rad on the pass side, never gets above 204 in stop and go traffic w/ beating on a 90 degree day.

I just put a street scenes grill in, painted black. Sorry dont mean to jack ur thread, just showing how it looks.
