To me the S488 price is right and it has been used from my understanding for quite a while so it has been proven. I just do see the need for the extra $600.00 to $700.00 when it can be used else where. I dont see any reason why I should not be able to make 1000rwhp with a 408ci motor.
I'm very curious as well. I'm betting any of them will make more power then I plan to have. This could end up being a very good thread with lots of info. I wish there were more people running these setups with numbers on each.

S488, is a PT88 with a big turbine housing and different turbine. Flows 1200hp crank max. Turbo uses the old 7 blade compressor wheel out of the old TV series Detriot diesel units, which flows (118lbs/min). Also that compressor wheel is built to flow through a .75 or larger A/R comp housing as it needs sufficent difuser space for the wheel to perform. They use the standard .63A/R comp cover which hurts the flow on the top side. If you look at a PT88 they use at least a .75A/R comp cover as well. Just go with a PT88.....

$600 to gain 300hp is not a bad mod I would think. Other then nitrous, you won't get that kind of difference from anything else.

Jerry is running that unit now. He's had some bad luck with headgaskets lately I believe, but he will be out and in full force. He will definitely give it hell....

Also Jerry, give me a shout sometime if you see this. I would like to see the old car running down the track.

i am still running ...just too hot to hit the track but its cooling off a little!! You can bet i wont make the mistake again of making 20psi on 93 octane

I am happy with my turbo choice. I do think it will make 1k to the tires at 22-23psi.
I have not used one of Joses turbos so i cant tell you how they compare in performance or value. I know NastyTA used the s88 from Jose and seemed to make great power...now he is going to an even bigger turbo from Jose.
Decide how much power you need and if you want/need to spend the extra money

Also yeah Nasty's 1100rwhp with a 370 and a glide is great. We have another customer with an S88 that has pushed this **** out of it...his results were posted on here......

https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...light=s88+hits

141mph in the 1/8th is moving......

That is around 1250+rwhp...

Are you talking external sizing?? If so, we are working on something already for that . We are working on a 86, 90, 94, 98...etc. It will be a partial hybrid as well so some newer tech stuff not offered by BW will be put in...

Their are 2 new Outlaw 10.5 cars coming with Twin S95's. Also we are working on a turbo for the current Top man in NMRA DR class (John K.) and several PSCA and NMCA cars are coming as well. Takes time to get the racers to try new things. Its hard to try something new when what you have is what you know. Understandable......, but at the end of the day the top guys want to have an advantage over the rest of the field.
