Default Big Procharger??

I know there are a few people on here that have procharger F1s on their car and I was wondering how diffficult it was to install that in the car.??

Procharger does not sell a F1 kit or an F2 kit and I am want to put one of those in my car or go with twin turbos...

My 97 Lt1 is procharged and I love the response and the sound!!!

and what luxuries did you have to take off to put it in there??? Power steering and AC?

Thanks a million guys!

I am not sure about your lt1 but the ls1 guys can just bolt the F1 inplace of there D1 or P1 and move the radiator forward a little.

I was able to get my F1 on just as easily as the P1SC I had. Bolted right up to the same bracketry and everything. I didn't even have to move the radiator at all (guess I am just lucky on that one since I hear a lot of LS1 guys have to...) Should be a pretty straight forward swap. Of coarse, your LT1 should be even easier since you dont have to worry about the intake hitting the radiator shroud since you don't have a reverse rotation unit facing backwards.

you are better off doing the p1sc on the ls1 and the f2 on the lt1, since the lt1 is a traditional SBC you can use the pro charger race kits and run a full cog. No way a F2 will survive on a regular belt.

You can get a F1c as an upgrade to the D1 kit sold by Epp.

So epp sells an f1 upgrade to a procharger D1 kit? amazing... I might run a procharger then rather than twin turbos?

I love the sound of the prochargers btw... twin turbos have always been a want though.

can it be done with an F1a??? a little more cfm supported by that dead unit : )

I will probably wind up going with this kit rather than the twin turbos...
I love my supercharger on my lt1 and I like the idea of not much lagging for boost to be made... and the torque is insane!

I like

An F1A is all I recommend on the LS1 F Body with it's eight rib belt assembly.
ATI Performance products has a 10 rib wide belt combination now in production for the ATI ProChargers on these cars, which could support a bigger blower.

Supercharger Conversion Kits for Chevy LS Engines
ATI Performance Products, Inc. is proud to introduce a line of supercharger conversion kits for the ATI Super DamperŽ. If you are making more than 8 lbs. of boost and have belt slip problems, ATI has the fix for your LS-X based engine. ATI is now offering 8, 10 and 12 rib kits and even an HTD cog drive blower driver kit for your Super Damper and all of the accessory drives! Stop worrying about belt tensioners holding up and small belts pulling their weight. If you need to make real boost, then check out the supercharger drive kits from ATI Performance Products.

Hopefully this helps. Bob

at what point does it decome better to run the F1 over the D1s? is there a specific level of power where the F1 is more efficent than the D1s??

thanks Chris.

Its very possible the regular F1 doesnt push the inlet out as far as an F1A does. I know another guy who just bolted a regular F1 on an F-body and didnt have to move anything either.

how can that be though? I thought the F1 and F1A were the same housing? I thought it was just because I don't have the SDCE setup...

They had to do something to give it more airflow, the D1 where the hat clamps on is recessed below the housing and the F1A sticks out quite a bit more. Dont have a regular F1 to compare, while the SDCE does sick out a little further there is a local guy with a regular F1 and a SDCE that didnt have to move the radiator.
