Thanks for the kind words guys. The heads are TEA stage 2 heads that i had on my car when it was just a heads and cam car. They are just ported LS1's. In the video, I was on low boost. around 8lbs psi. Hey QUIK, i have a FAST 90 intake with NW 90 TB.

such a SICK car SCOTT!
i love how you can clearly hear the turbo while the car is ideling
my car is stock height and i still have a lot of clearance left if i ever wanted to drop (never)
and theres also a better one on TRT's website under the LS1 f-body page that shows a direct behid of the car

While the end result was amazingly great, it has been a long road for this project. The fmic pipes / "silicone" fittings that came with this was a joke. After some fabricating using our ATI FMIC pipes, we adapted this to scotts setup.

LASTLS1....lots of work involved getting those 325's MT to fit. Had to grind the calipers; removed bumpstops, grind and BFH the mounting point of bumpstops. BFH the wheelwell with a really large sledge hammer, rolled the fender lips, needed double adj. control arms, adj. panhard, longer wheel studs. If I had to do it again, I would have went with Bogarts.

Wondering what differences you noticed when going to the 408 from your other motor. Do you notice much more torque on and off boost? Does the turbo spool up quicker.? How is it for revving slower with the bigger motor?
Do you think a 408 is lots or would you go bigger to say a 427 LSX block ? Trying to decide on shortblock and can't make up my mind. It seems to be a lot more money for the LSX block even beyond the price of the block itself.

I have APS twin kit sitting in garage. They are tweaked mits 20gs. Might be a bit small on 427 but would be fine on a 408. But not really into worrying about abolute best combo in every area. Might even run 3.73 gears over recommended 3.54s in planned dana 60 since figure off boost the 3.73 will be better and make it easier to drive around with my current clutch. More into figuring the torque of the 427 would be great also off boost as well as on and just like the sound of 427 cubic inches.

Even at lower compression, this motor is fun to drive around, lots of part throttle torque, boost comes on hard and fast with this turbo and eboost.

MY99TAWS6, the 408 has a lot more torque on just motor(no boost) than my 382 did. Driving around town and just giving her a little gas, instant torque. On boost, the 382 with the little GT-67 turbo was instant boost. We never did check out to see how much back pressure there was, but I am quite sure it was considerable. With the 408 and 76, she is an animal! She might not spool as quick, but I cant hardly notice much difference. With the bigger motor, the torque hides any difference in lag if any.
