Picked up 75rwhp by removing intake, help.
We slap her on the rollers and even though it's already 97deg outside at 9am we're hoping for some good numbers.
First run puts down less than I did in the winter on 91 octane!! WTF? I ask my tuner what's up and he says boost got to 10#s then fell to 9#s. I had talked to Bob and he thought my intake might be holding things up so I yanked it off and gained 75rwhp!
So since I can't drive with it off what do I do? Anyone think a blackwing filter would fit directly on the D1 inlet?
Graph comparing the 2 runs.
looks like this, but I have the 8 rib setup. This is just to see the intake design.

Biggest air filter you can fit will work the best, that inlet doesnt look that horrible.
I think I'll see if the blackwing filter can fit on the blower inlet and get rid of the other piping and see what happens.
Without the filter setup we picked up 2psi as well which contributed to the increase in power of course.

Its just weird because that C5 one looks a ton better then the F-body one. You should have tried with and without the filter only for grins. 750rw with a D1 is making some good power though. Thanks for posting up the pulley combo also, most people dont do that for some odd reason..

I'll post my results as I change things around for the forum. What's the most people make on a D1 by chance?

(and a bigger filter)
the bigger filter alone picked up 1~1.5psi with the P1
