Oh.
Hello, I think STS is just fine, uh, they are O.K., that is, uh....

It never ceases to amaze me that there are so many STS lurkers around, who have nothing better to do than to search for every STS thread that pops up. Then they consider it their civic duty to jump in, and, completely off the actual subject of the thread (this one concerned the heat output near the gas tank) and instead slam STS and say "dude don't buy sts..."
He did not ask you whether or not it was a wise decision to buy STS or not.
STFU.
He asked whether the heat near the gas tank was an issue. If you can contribute to that, fantastic. If not, leave the fu..ing thread.
Rant over.
your right he asked about the heat.
well if i say don't buy it. buy a front mount.
quess what.
no more heat problem.
the answer is within my young apprentice. lol

Yea and there are 6.xx second Honda Civic's too, but that doesn't mean it's the best way to get there.

Only reason that Paul Major's turbo is in the rear is because there is no way to fit a 106mm in the front of a corvette.

IMO after owning one it has its ups and downs... I really liked the kit with the exception of the oiling. I eventually fixed it with a restricter and braided lines to the front but before that it kinda burnt me out cleaning it all the time..

Now im going to the APS kit and not looking back.

It was fun though.

My "front" mount doesn't have heat problems at all. And I can glow my exhaust for 22" until the muffler.

Is anyone out there with an STS kit able to provide an installation manual "pdf" file or "other" for review.

Our LS? Astro van install has encountered several engineering snags and are now considering other options.

This is a pure fact finding mission - Can you help...................Thanks

I like the STS kit. just installed mine few weeks back. makes good power at 8Psi.
i ran my oil pump for three minutes dry like the instructions said, and it is very quiet. as for the turbo near the tank, I don't even have the heat shield on mine, No problems.

omg wtf.... this happens everythread....

it mad 450whp.... @ what boost. if its @ 4-6psi those numbers arent to bad on a stock ls1........ my buddies sts gto on 4-5psi made 440whp..... formata tuned it. 42lbs injectors, BAP, formata tune & GT67 upgrade..... car is a monster..... sts kits are great i love mine but i just fried the motor in my blazer. as far as i know im the fastest stock motor blazer in the nation. i was open diff, stock converter, and bone stock long block running 13.0 with 13psi with no tune on a 98* day.... sts system work great.

btw my buddy put his entire set-up together for $2700....... injectors, tune, gt67 and kit..... cant beat that. look for some deals.

anyone that says they dont work. please check out majorspray's videos....

Alot of people with this kit aren't going for 8xxrwhp.
I like my STS kit.
Would I rather have twin under hood or something, yeah... But I can't afford something like that. This kit does make some power though.

This brings up the question, what's the most power made to the wheels from someone using the STS kit, anyone?

Every STS thread turns into this ****.

The question was answered, now time to lock it, before more bashing continues.
