Oooh and it hides really well under the car now, you can see about as much as what you can see with dump offs.
The turbo spool is pretty wicked loud now, and believe it or not it didn't make the exhaust noise itself much louder.

Good luck on coming back, you are now permanently banned for this wise-*** reply after our discussion.

The FACTS are that you lied to me when you signed on as a "sponsor" and told me that you worked for STS and were here to market for them. The FACT is that you are just a dealer for them, not an employee, and you were promoting your own company. Just being a DEALER for an advertising manufacturer here doesn't automatically mean you can advertise your business for FREE here. We have several manufacturers that have an ad here, some of them have 1000s of dealers. Their dealers are not allowed to advertise here for FREE just because they sell a brand name.

Get a clue! Hell, get a real business with a real address, and quit using your COLLEGE .edu email account to sell stuff.

I don't get it?

What have you done special? It looks like a stock sts exhaust pipe coming off the turbo?

I must be missing something here.

I never claimed it was special, I just had a bullet on there and was asking if it was ok without, so I did that to chop of a single side pipe and that's my end product.

One more thing, are y'all running the waste gate open like that or piping it back to the exhaust?

i run mine open. Ill eventually make another pipe that connects there and runs to a tip to fill in the left T/A bumper opening

I pipe mine back in and muffle it.

I built a dual exit exhaust for my STS as I didn't like all the noise it made and especially hate the sound of an open wastegate.

Didn't seem to affect the tune. I cut it right after the bend I had on there and simply angled it slightly down so it's like a down pipe. I like it much more myself.

I'll try to get some vid.
be very weary and careful... when i pulled my exhuast and ran open downpipe it didnt seem to affect the tune either...

when in fact, I addeda bout 60 rwhp from another 2 psi and blew my motor on 91 octane.

I wouldnt recommend going WOT without retuning.

But thats just my opinion.

Too late.
Thanks for the warning though. Boost gauge isn't reading anymore PSI being made though.

Ok let me rephrase it then, lol. Dont go WOT too much, lol.

If its forged it can take it for a bit but sooner or later your gonna blow the piston skirt or a chunk of the piston through your exhuast, lol.

why would you get 2 more psi?

only way that could happen is if your wastegate wasn't working properly.

he should still see the exact same amount of boost.

should be just fine.

all i know is when i had my exhuast on i was at 13.5 psi... soon as I took it off I was close to 16.

no exhuast = less backpressure which means turbo spooled faster... not sure exaclty what happens technically, but I do know that im sure it cause the issue with my blown motor.

Wierd you should say this, I got in the car today and under boost it sputters in and out, it's the wierdest thing ever. I've ruled out a leak as that's the first thing that popped in my head, as it did it once before then stopped now it's back ( prior to removing exhaust ) I have a vid of it i'll post up...
