Anyone running OVER 15 PSI? (strokers etc.) I was just wondering b/c my next engine mod will probably be a 8.5:1 compression iron blocked 409 set up for about 20 PSI or maybe more(I like to push it to the MAX).
I think I am gunna skip right over the head and cam set up and go from my stock motor to the stroker motor with either a twin turbo or a BIG a$$ supercharger.

stock cid, stock crank, stock ls6 intake, 8.75:1 pump gas 22* timing at tq peak.

(strokers etc.) Good luck running that much boost with a belt.Scott ws6 is the only one of I know running high boost with a SC.Turbos can do it.If you run over 10psi count on breaking a bunch of belts with ATI.I just dont have the patience to change belts every other pass or lose races because the belt broke.Nothing like being door to door at the 1000ft mark and the belt breaks,you watch the other guy pull away.

Re: Anyone running OVER 15 PSI? (strokers etc.) I run 18 psi and have only broken one belt in 8 passes and 20 dyno pulls. I broke that on decel because my BOV wasnt big enough. If you are going to run that much boost, what kind of blower are you looking to go with because I would look at either the F1 procharger or the vortec ys trim.
T76 is correct, if you dont get the proper pully set up you will be breaking many belts.

Re: Anyone running OVER 15 PSI? (strokers etc.) I have a similar setup that scott does for the blower pulley setup...I'm going to be running 12psi....7.85" 8 rib crank pulley, and the Reichard Racining, 3.60" 8 rib....and a gates belt...

22.5 was a peak number, with the wastegate busted it went down from there to like 10 at the end of the gear..
no dyno yet, i dont plan to run that amount all the way up the rev's.. but it didnt blow the intake up and i didnt get any audible detonation.. i was just giving a friend a ride.
and afterwards checked what my peak boost was on my e-boost and said 'oh my'
