Tc-76 Blew the Tranny!!
Got a call from the shop last night stating tranny went during road testing. The shop is getting the car ready for a shoot with Hot Rod Tv set for tomorrow and they wanted to ask me if I wanted my car to get on the show and of course my answer was yes. I guess Ken from HP tuners is doing a show on tuning and is using my car for the show!!!. I was not expecting the transmission to go in preparation for the show!! My tranny had only 30k miles and was a rebuilt one from D and D performance with all new carbon fibre sycros and steel shift fork and quite a few other things in there. Anyway the owner of the shop is getting me a deal on a brand new built stage four or something T-56 the is all cryogen treated.
Well for some good news they were able to get 700 rwhp on good old pure 91 octane pump gas!!!!!!! Ken squeezed another 100 rwhp out of the pump fuel. I think the switched from the MAF to a 2 bar SD tune. Anyway I will know the dates the show is gonna air in a couple of days. Stay tuned for Snake Slayer on national TV!

Not sure what broke, but it is stuck in gear. Might be the strut for 3-4th syncronizer, according to D and D performances web site it states if it breaks it will be stuck in 3rd or 4rth gear. They are putting in a brand new built tranny today that is cryogen treated with all the optional parts and charging me 2400 dollars for the tranny. there is no core charge.
As far as the car besides that everything is great. It just put down 700 rwhp on pure 91 octane no meth nothing else. I am trying to stay away from strictly only going down there if something big breaks or its covered under their warranty like this leaning out problem that I was having. They found the FPR was bad so it is getting replaced under warranty I take it since its only a little over a month old.
