I've had problems with the left side - back two cylinders...

Dyno Tune is Tuesday/ Wednesday and hopefully NOTHING breaks on it... The guy up here is pretty damn near perfect on tunes... I hope i can give it enough fuel as it wants bc i believe the 65lbs injectors are almost MAXED...

If i can run some low 9.6x's i should be okay... I'll just tree the **** outta the other dude right?

Weather will be good, Memphis is fairly quick, I'm sure you can run .50s with no problem. Most guys running arent professional bracket racers so you never know. Just remember its a .500 pro tree so if you are cutting better than .100 lights on a .400 be careful

No that was with the original Vortech setup like SSilversurfer said. I bent the valves on atleast 5 of the cylinders so I will be calling you when I get it back out again.

You're making too much power for 65 injectors.....you can max them out with a GREAT fuel pump(s) and get by, but you need at least 86's.....good problem to have though....nice car.

Blownramair, what is your base fuel pressure? I'm guessing it must be pretty high to still be running those injectors.

PTE is shipping my turbo back right now, we should have it tomorrow afternoon since they are just over in IN. Matt in repairs said that the contact the impeller was making with the housing could be the reason why the car would not boost up. As long as the car works tomorrow night i am bringing it.

Fuel psi is at 60psi and i believe the injectors are at 85% duty cycle... I know i need bigger injectors... I'm waiting till over the winter bc i'm doing a E85 kit and prolly goin with 160s w/ a bigger combo...

I do have a pretty good fuel pump (FAST 1200hp kit) and im sure it'll be MAXED for Memphis... Or ill just have it tuned to as most she'll go... Id rather not have the motor set on kill at this time...

How HIGH CAN I TAKE MY FUEL PSI??????

I claim to be a lot of things but a good driver aint one of them lol. You going to make it to the shootout Dave?

J, you can bump up the fuel pressure as much as you can until it cant hold it at high duty cycle. 85% isnt bad, heck I'm running my 75s at 95% or so.

Boy did i find a lot of things wrong today about the car while on the chassis dyno...

We uped the fuel psi to 70 and cranked the injectors to 97%... Still wanted to run lean but we got her on the safe side... The leanest it went was 12.2 and thats around 6400rpms... I cant change anything in Memphis bc i dont have an aftermarket engine management system...

She'll run "just a lil" faster than 9.50

And for cuttin good lights, I shouldn't have a problem in that area unless my tbrake button takes a ****... Kp's just gonna have to slow his car WAAAAAAY DOWN to KEEP UP with me, LoL...

Either way some engery drinks and a 13hr ride...

See y'all Friday...

12.2 on a dynojet will jump into the high 12's at the track....if it's cool at Memphis it could go leaner....good luck!

Still no turbo on my end.

i'd fatten it up and use whatever fuel makes it run richest.....so far that has been c16 for me but i have very limited experience with different race fuels....maybe KP can chime in on fuels to use. That lean and you need all the insurance you can get!!

It only hit 12.2 for 300rpms around 6400. Then it flat lines at 11.5 every where else... 12.2 was the MAX LEAN it went on a mustang dyno... The temp in Michigan was 49* when it was on the dyno - i highly doubt it'll be that cold in Memphis... I can take the fuel psi up 2-3psi w/o the computer going outta wack to fatten it up a bit... That's about all i can do w/ the stock pcm.

After a blast or two in Tn, I'll pull the plugs and see what they look like... Any signs of goin lean, I'll up the fuel psi 3psi or so...

PSJ, you still comin regardless???

Kp uses c16 and i run ms109... I purchased a drum last year and so far the 109 is getting me by... Kp's prolly makin around 80-100hp more than me with his 3.4/ 7.25 combo on the d1 than i am... I still have lil baby newborn heads

The tuner here said i will be okay for Memphis... He's very well trusted in the Detroit area... I'm thinkin a new best might be around the corner - well 13 hrs away, but still
