Switch to 8-rib is: 1 wider belt, 1 blower pulley, 1 idler pulley, 1 crank pulley, plus anything else on that belt. Figure $400 in a pulley/belt swap, maybe $500.

To answer the thread starter...I believe you also have to pin the crank when using an the crank pulley for a 8rib set up. I may be wrong tho.
This kit includes all the other parts that are required for the conversion, plus links to the harmonic balancer and the crank pinning kit that are required. Bob
