S76-S88 or twin 62-1's or GT35R's
Difference between those? What do you guys think? Ball bearing is expensive on the 35r, but worth it? Will be 408ci for the 67 bird. Would like to do twins, but will the s76 or s88 (or t88) work fine for my app? Opinions guys?

Yes a BB setup is more expensive, so you will need to weigh that out.
How much power are you shooting for though? I never saw this addressed???

damn i am wondering this SAME question for both single and twins. not to highjack.
im looking for an easy 750 on lower boost for the street, but have the ability to see over 1000whp if needed. that would only be on occasion though. most important thing is good response, low BP, and high power potential on a high flowing 408
i was thinking S85-88 or pt63s

I would say if your going to stay single then an S85 would be perfect. If you want twins the new FI series units are almost complete. A single FI-62S 61.5Xmm will flow 72lbs/min
Compare that to the GT35R which is also a standard S cover and 61.4Xmm and flows 63 lbs/min.

I also love the way they sound, but figured twins would spool faster, but hey, the car is 2955lbs with a pontiac 455 in it, it should be about that with the smaller "ls1" and turbo/intercooler. Do I need an s85 or should I go with something a little smaller? I will only need to boost 950-1000whp MAXIMUM... anything more than that is 100% useless to me, I don't have a death wish... well maybe I do. On the street, keep it around 15-18psi and 750-800whp.

If those are you maximum #'s with the 408, then the S80 will do it. We have a customer now running an S80 on a 385 SBC car that has ran 5.7's@127-129 1/8th so it will definitely make the power. And the car spools like a raped ape and weighs 3515.
