Is the STS turbo system visible? On a Z28 would make quite the sleeper.

Even if you tuck the turbo up as high as you can it's still visible and once you begin to spoool there's no hiding what you got!!!

Definitely visible, I've had people ask 'what's that under your car'

Sidenote: Bob is there any advantage of running the waste gate piping into your exhaust, mine is currently open, no piping.

i did have a guy at a parts store ask why i was going with a cooler plug over stock and i told him i has a sts kit and what not. that dude started a huge argument that V8s couldnt have turbos that only 4cyls used them. even after i showed him my car he still called bullshit on me...

I've told people the same to some degree, I tell idiot's that the air under the rear of the car is cooler and more efficient and decided to run all that piping just to pull air from the rear of the car!

AND SOME PEOPLE BELIEVE IT!!!

Here in Hawaii it's more like.....holy $hit bra, is that a turbo under your car? I got about 2x comments per day driving around out here. People would go out of their way to pull up next to me and ask. So, yes, it's very visible......especially with a 4-core FMIC and no grill Now the car's in 'Bama where the local reaction is more like....WTF is that???? Not to mention, if the look doesn't give the car away, the whistle of the turbo spooling up certainly will.

BTW....it scares the holy hell out of the ricer crowd. I went to DC and there wasn't a "Fast and Furious" Civic w/in 100 miles that woud F with it. Even made the modded Evo and STi crowd think twice. On the contrary, my dad gets racers all the time trying to take his modded 03 Cobra. That always makes me laugh...........as he's probably putting out more HP than I am.

STS = teh anti-stealth.

There is nothing subtle about them.

They can be tucked up a litte better than that, but you can't totally conceal them. See TRT's way of doing it.
