Default 224/224 .561 114 or 218/222 .562 114 LSA ???

224/224 .561 114 or 218/222 .562 114 LSA ???

I'm trying to decide which cam is best for my car.

I'll be running a T60-1 turbo kit, vig 3200 stall, stage 2 heads ported for FI, 3.42 gear. And starting off @ 5 # boost until I get a beefier tranny. 346ci.

Those both look more like supercharger cams to me, and the first cam looks a little crazy to me!

Cam Motion recommended the following cam for my turbo setup 225/219 .558/.564 114. From everything that I have read on this board turbo cars tend to like reverse split cams.

Our setups are fairly similar, although I am using a twin turbo kit and a TH400 with a 3400 stall and 3.73s.

Ditto on what Scott said.

If you were to shift the car around 6500, I'd say that I'd get something like what he is suggesting. Might want to ask FMS (they carry Cam Motion) on whether they would go +2 on that cam. FMS might be able to get you better pricing than going direct to Cam Motion.

The reverse split is due to a turbo NOT wanting superior scavenging of the exhaust.

It's hard to believe a reverse split with be better on a blower/turbo car. The extra exhaust duration will spin the turbo up faster. And on the blower car the extra duration will scavenge the cylinder so the next intake cycle won't be as much contaminated from unburnt gases. These are what I've been told for years.
