what would make more power everything being equal? also which one is harder on a stock ls1 bottom end?
i hear about superchargers melting pistons but i never hear
about turbos w/ bottom end problems? what are people doing wrong
to blow up their stock bottom ends and some people run great
with the stock bottom ends??

With the same peak boost and rpm range, the turbo should do better if sized correctly. It will achieve full boost before the sc and hold it, where as the sc starts low and builds. The sc can make up if you spin it higher or pulley it differently so the "avg boost" equals out in the same rpm range.

Same peak will have the Turbo with a wider powerband. Turbo should make more TQ and be a bit harder on the engine and driveline components than a supercharger.

Mmm, true. The Turbo should be harder on the drivetrain still. The Supercharger harder on the bearings & crank nose. The turbo harder on the rods/wrist-pins from a TQ standpoint.. Or.. are the rods more stressed by TQ or RPM?

I have seen more low end torque with a turbo than a supercharger. Also, I have heard that turbos are less destructive to a motor than supercharger or nitrous. As far as the drivetrain, if you rev to 6K and dump the clutch on slicks, that is hard on it. But most turbo systems I have seen have full boost and and peak torque around 3K. And we are talking about only 8psi of boost and not 20psi.
