well if those spool slow and run 6's then whats the problem with not bein able to spool it fast..im drag racing a 4 wheeler because its different. i got a 67 camaro stock suspension radial car, and ive always raced motocross n stuff and love doing things that people say wont work...i just love to race anything. anyway im gonna put one on there and see what it does. if it doesnt then i shall start over, just tired of the nitrous on there

The problem with the slow spooling 4 cyls running 6's is that they are all running glides or th400's (chevy cobalts to reference) and i'm fairly sure are using a trans brake to spool the turbo pre-launch. Any chance of putting a 2 step rev limiter on it? I don't think antilag would work on a single cyl engine.

Thanks, Drew. My point exactly.

badd, you should put a T88 on it. . . which brings me to my next point. Compressor maps. Ever see a turbo surge at full throttle?

i understand that a 88 wont work, it wont work on a 4 cyliner either, but if a gt15 or something works on a stock motor, theres a big difference in in a stock raptor 700 and a big bore stroker motor, meaning a bigger turbo will work, and bout a trans brake, set the rappy on the rev limiter then leave?thats what we do anyway so why wont it work with the turbo..if it lags then spray it on bottom end..im not trying to be an *** to all u guys and i appreciate ur input, but one thing i dont see is yall say "no way, wont work" so how many of you have tried it? they also said a stock internal 700 on nitrous wont go run how good it has, and said the stock motor wont handle nitrous and alcohol, but it has, and a 700 wont run with a 450 on a motocross track, but ive got a championship trophy to prove that one too. im gonna put that t3 flanged turbo on it and see what it does. noone has ever done it so noone knows if it will work or not, so im gonna do it and try it...thnks for all the input guys, positive and negative

If you had some type of launch control, or Anti lag setup you should be fine in a drag setup... But for just driving around the lag would suck. But leaving at like 8k or something off a 2 step you should launch with boost, and hang on for the ride of your life....

Have fun, Chris

I have a compressor map for a T3 60 trim. If the Raptor has 40 hp stock and you're using this turbo, then anything above 7 psi will throw it into surge.

As far as lag goes, no one knows exactly how laggy it will be because no one has installed a turbo that big on an engine that small. All we know is that it will be laggy. It may not even have enough exhaust energy to spool it.

When I first set out on my turbo jet ski project (1500 cc), I was concerned that my T3 60 trim was too big and laggy since it's normally installed on engines in the 2.0 - 3.8 liter range.

Have you measured the inducer diameter yet so we can figure out which T3 it is yet?

Okay, just looked up the maps on the other common T3's. They made 40, 45, 50, 60, and super 60 trims. The 40 would be your best bet, but it would still be at the very borderline of surge. I think it has a 38 mm inducer, but I'm not sure. ~30 mm is where you need to be. My T3 60 trim has a 46 mm inducer.

I've been working on a Turbo 660 Raptor project for a while now, here are some sneak peak vids

Idle & Revving Vid.

First Ride Vid.

Here is a link to a REALLY nice kit but way too much for me to put into my Raptor, i'd much rather put that amount of money into my car or truck. The kit has been dyno'd on the shop raptor @ 89rwhp. I can't even imagine how fast that would feel!
