Reliable Forced Induction, cost?
Would it be possible to build a reliable setup with that much money? Pro's / Con's?
I do not really expect 10's or even deep 11's. But I think this will be a fun project with the ability to expand on it later down the road.
Thank you soo much guys!
This mod bug is soley Ls1tech's fault, heh. I love this site!!!
If you get a nice 6-8psi going on a stock motor that hasn't seen much abuse it should last for a while...if you want to put out some serious power though, you need the drivetrain to handle it...
I've calculated it out to be
Turbocharger ~19k
Supercharger ~18k
It includes built drivetrain, built motor, charger kit, suspension components, cage, etc.
I've already spent about 12k and am working my way toward the 19k. Just need a built motor now.

Damn is all I have to say. I dont want to go the H/C route, I would like to go a different route.
I have the built tranny already.
I need to strengthen the drivetrain...will need a 12 bolt or something similiar.
How much of a PIA is the ProCharger to install?
$4K For ATI D1-SC Procharger tuner kit
$400 42# SVO Injectors
$1K in components needed for install(fuel pump, FPR, fuel rails, braided lines, etc.)
$2,100 for Strange 12-Bolt
$1K McLeod Single Disk Kevlar Clutch
$1200 FLPs
$550 LS1Edit
$200 ATAP
So I'm at 10K so far and have a fully running, fairly safe FI setup. Hmm maybe Rob isn't so far off the mark. :p When you throw in a forged motor the price climbs rapidly. But you can run safe on the stock bottom end for a while. You can certainly go cheaper than what I have done. But considering my future plans(beating Rob :p) it makes since for me to do my fuel system this way now. Lot's of people don't need FLPs, don't need 1K in install accessories, don't need a 1K clutch, etc. That's just the route I went.
Good luck,
Mike
But if you put a blower on a stock engine car, and you like the power, you might want to salt away some funds for a piston upgrade if you want to make more power.
