Just curious. But isn't a 427 a bit much for the S91 turbo??? I know they were talking about it in another thread saying that the s91 was best suited for a mid to high 300 ci engine... I'm not doubting you. Just curious. The Kit looks amazing btw!!!

I was originally going to build a 408 and the S91 was suggested by Jose at FI. I could easily go bigger with a 427, but I don't think the S91 is to small (probably border line) it supports like 1650 HP with the race cover, plus I already had it before I decided on the 427. I'm sure I will go bigger later on, right now I'm all new to the FI world and learning as I go here, thank god for LS1tech .

It looks like alot of really hot piping shoved into a small engine bay. How will the #3 cylinder plug wire live?

I've followed the OFI kit for some time now, and will be the first to tell you I'm impressed. You've conducted yourself very professionally despite some *insert adjective* people and accusations. The kit and your company are first class.

However, I do have a couple questions/suggestions on the kit, I'd appreciate it if you took the time to go through these. I'm by no means an expert, but I've spent a lot of time researching and would like to think I know my way around a turbo kit.

1) Have you considered a flex joint on the hot side? I'm not sure if I'd trust the headers supporting all of that weight, especially in that configuration. Then add in the very high EGTs, metal expansion, and the fact that some of your customers will inevitably wrap the hot side for that additional power/spool. It all seems like an eventual recipe for header failure to me. I'm running the same type setup on my Fiero (Headers + Y-pipe supporting a single), and I just redid one of the headers to add a flex joint.

2) The wastegate dump. I like that you put the wastegate dump back into the exhaust. But you may want to try running the dump pipe parallel to the DP for about 12-18" before you merge it back into the DP, then do so smoothly. I wouldn't be surprised if you gained 10-20hp from this alone.

So just a couple things to consider if you ever release a second version of the kit, the little things add up. As I said before, superior quality, superior service, superior numbers.

Adventually, 1200 whp. For now, I'm just gonna go slow, and move it up untill I hit the 8's what ever HP that is, then figure out where to go after that.
