My first FI
My only gripe would be the money. What a cash cow!
One would think the numbers would be higher for what all this cost.
If I had to do it again, I think I'd have built a forged 400 "something" and gone with a TT set up. It'd have been cheaper I think and I wouldn't have needed to add the bottle and meth injection.
Oh well. The car is plenty powerful for the street and the long distance road trips I've been on have been without any incident. (Eastern Montana to Colorado Springs)
Setting the CC at 140 is so cool!
The vac pump set up needs at bit of maintenance. The repeated dyno pulls and the road trip filled the puke tank up a bit and it pissed oil all over inside the fender well.
Off to the car wash!
So, that gets checked a little more often now.
I was able to attempt a couple top speed runs. My driveshaft is developing a pretty good buzz at 160 so that's been it for now. I guess it needs to be balanced again.
One more "to do" for next spring.
Not that I really need to drive 160 mind you. Still fun now and then though.
Well, it's parked until May/June when I get home again. So, I'll do my best to post the final results and get some video.
I think everyone will like the exhaust. Man does it sound pissed off when you put your foot in it. I was really apprehensive about how the Borla set up would sound, but I have NO complaints.
Very mild at idle. No drone in the car at idle or freeway speed. Put your foot in it and it sounds like a witch getting double stuffed in the cinnamon ring.
Pretty cool.
