Default Next Step: Pistons!

I am looking for some Forged pistons for FI that willl have a factory bore of an LS1(factory bore and stroke), i looked into Wiseco, JE, and Diamond and the smallest bore they have is a 3.903" and thats too big. Diamond has pistons that are the factory bore size, but are mabe for small FI and N20 applications. They key word "small" is not going to work. The most horsepower that i will be making is about 750-800rwhp. Any ideas? That would help!

Unless the 3.903" pistons will fit the 3.898" bore which makes no sence to me...

Will thoes support that amount of power?
The reason i looked into Diamond, Wisco, and JE is because there seems to be a lot of "Hype" about them... Being the best...

Also what happens if i have some extra cash for a 4" stroke? So the displacement would be a 383ci.

You can have a diamond piston set 11503 -8.6cc dish and have bore size change to 3.898 if you wish but......

The reason why they are 3.905", you should have the bores honed to create your piston to wall clearance desired.

Now what bore size the pistons and cylinder block bores measure all over the place, we've taken Diamond 4" bore pistons installed them in a 6.0 block to find out we had .005" PTW, from that point we've gone with 4.005" pistons for LS2 blocks.

If you got the extra doe, I'd bore to 3.905 and get the diamond 11574 inboard forging race pistons made for 25 psi boost.

I'll be running these in my motor, except on a 3.903" or 3.905" bore, depending on what the shop tells me. Power goals are a bit lighter than yours. Probably more along the lines of ~700rwhp.

I just bought those, but the coated versions are not out yet supposedly. They are getting rid of the uncoated ones to make room for the new coated skirt pistons. Either way they look pretty as hell and i can eat cereal with how big the bolw is on them. If only my dam rods would come through from sdpc, they're takin forever Good luck on the build!
