Here's a link to the F body web pages and the current price is $5995 plus freight cost to your destination..............freight time to the main 48 US states is 5 to 7 days from despatch and I have F body twin turbo systems in inventory ready for immediate despatch,

the only problem i would have with the aps kit is no tuner/tune comes with it....im in germany and will be for a while(as long as the army keeps me here lol) and to get a place to tune cars over here is not only hard to find but rediculously expensive.

Agreed you pretty much have to get tuning as you need to run richer for turbos and take out some timing also. A predator tuner could do the job though ,buddy runs one with his sts not sure if they came with the sts or not and no idea if prochargers also come with predator. You need wideband ideally also.

if you go with an aps tt, get hp tuners, and learn to do it yourself, there is a lot of help out there for learning to tune. I would not waste my money on a predator

Predator can do a decent job and is very user friendly compared to hptuners. Hptuners of course also requires a laptop. I went that route personally but also wanted things like speed density option as going beyond stock type engine and tuning. Buddies sts car runs fine with the predator and my borrowed occasionally wideband. Its not rocket science really, especially if you stick at stock APS boost levels. Just fatten up the afr and cut down timing so you don't see knock. You could tune without wideband as long as you can watch knock carefully. That was the way it was done for a long time until widebands got cheap like they are now.
With alc injection kit of course you have more safety margin on pump and can run leaner,a bit more boost and more timing. Still much past 7 or 8psi is not that safe on stock ls1 compression. Add some bigger chamber heads and a few more pounds is possible.
I would not be greedy.Seen too many broken ringlands from greedy!Stock pistons are not known as Hypercrap for nothing!

i like the aps twin kit also, IF you have the money. on a stock block all of the power adders will only be able to go as high as 8psi before you pop the eng. soooo it probably wont matter until you go forged then the twin kit will out perform the D1 or STS.. i like my STS i have NO ground clearance issues , ill bet the APS kit sits just as low....

the STS kit was my first venture into FI , the turbo makes great power when you hit full boost its a rush.. a D1 takes more rpm to get full boost #s but you get a much better low torque return instant power.

im currently at 500rwhp at 9psi on a forged block, waiting to update fuel system to up the boost. good luck

Agreed, You can run 7-8 PSI quite safely on the stock LS1 block................don't get too greedy with the boost and run a safe tuning strategy with upgraded valve springs and you will enjoy 530 rwhp/rwtq for many, many miles,

Peter

If you got the $ the APS would be badass but for simplicity and also great results, you can't go wrong with calling up EPP and gettting the D-1SC kit. Good luck , either will be fun and haul ***. As you will probably be on the road faster and less tinkering with the procharger jsut to keep in mind.

Not sure where the less tinkering comes from.Turbo kits are pretty simple really when properly designed. No scavenger pump on this kit but it does need the oil pan tapped unlike the procharger. Turbos are pretty reliable ,well at least the garretts or mits seem to be. The turbonetics have had several people with not the best of luck with them.
Heard of some problems with prochargers, belts too.

And just so its clear I have nothing against procharger I would like to get one someday for my 96z28 just to have some turbo super and nitrous cars. I like all the power adders!
