I tapped into my sheet metal elbow and ran a line to the map sensor.

I used the port on the pass. side of the vic and ran the hose into the sensor. I removed the orange rubber gasket from the map. Used 1/4 hose.

It tell's in the direction's how to hook it up i believe..If not is real easy. Just take a piece of vacuum hose from the port on the passenger side of the manifold and connect it to the map sensor. It's that easy.

Do you know if you can use the stock map sensor? or does it use an aftermarket one?

You can if you pull the grommet off the sensor and run a 3/16 vac hose onto the barb. If you need more vac/boost signals then run a distro block.

I know people usually run the carb intakes on the higher boost levels but, does anyone think that running that intake on lower boost levels would work? Especially if someone is looking to make as much power as possible on the lowest amount of boost.

While it would work a little bit better then say a ls1 intake, the best bet is a good blower cam a good set of cylinder heads.

A ls6 intake would be more street friendly in the lower ranges and part throttle.

It just all depends on whats the purpose of the car and how its driven, and how much you would give up for them extra ponies.

I also am running my carb intake with 10# of boost and 600RWHP. My car is a street car not a track car also. I figured I prolly gave up a little power but wanted to make sure I got the best air distribution possible.

I actually found my car drove nicer down low with the carb intake.....doubt it made any extra power though top end.
Looks good though...so I dont care.

Yes,just pull the grommet off the end and hook up the vacuum hose to the sensor and the other end to the manifold.
