Default slp long tubes

I just bought a car that came with slp long tube tuned headers, gutted cats and y pipe, are these things any good for what im doing?

the negative comments I have seen about the SLP long tubes deal with the fact they hang down to low and get bent up over time. Gutting the cats is one way of improving the exhaust flow, but it does increase the noise level.

I have never scraped mine or hit my steep driveway curb/gutter. They do sit low and you can see them from the side if you stand back far enough. That is the only part about them I don't like.

I loved mine. The merge pipe is just a bit smaller on the SLP's IIRC. With that much going through, I'd feel better with Kook's or ARH.

I have had now problem with my slp headers, alot of people complain about them but, the only thing for me was they were a pita to install. Other then that I love them.

I would get you some good flowing Kooks... The ones with the bigger primaries will definitely help the bigger cubes...

I have them, only because they were one of the first mods I did. I would use some with larger primary piping if I got some today.

these have 1 3/4 primaries, will I see that substantial of a power gain going to a 1 7/8? if so how much power are we talking aprox?
