Default How much can i boost? (sts)

I am in the process of buying a sts kit and i was wondering how much boost my motor will be able to handle? It is not completely forged. The motor has an ls6 crank, ls6 connecting rods with ARP bolts, and has speed pro forged pistons. I understand that the weakest part of the ls1 motor seems to be the stock pistons. I have read that the connecting rods with ARP bolts are good up to 500rwhp and that the stock crank can handle up to a 600rwhp beating, but the stock pistons are crap. So i was wondering how much boost my motor can handle being that i will have upgraded the injectors and fuel pump as well. Also, how much power do you think i can make? I have the following mods in sig.

I think the rods and pistons are pretty good til about 500... Rod Bolts will help with higher RPM's... But the Rods themselves are still going to be pretty weak..

The pistons you have should be good for 600+...

I would make sure you get an intercooler or Meth... IAT's on a stock STS system, will be a killer for your motor...

Is it stock compression? By the way, you may want to get rid of the LT's. Stock manifolds will actually help reduce lag. I wouldn't be surprised, if you are stock compression, to hit upper 400's rwhp with about 8 psi. It will be nice with the 3500 stall too.

My car has long tubes and with my 3000 Vig spooling is not an issue. If your cam has a smallish LSA it will hurt your power some. But with 6 psi my car put down 436 hp on a stock 347 no ic no meth. 8 psi should be high 400s. Without meth or an IC 7-8 psi is the limit to be safe.

Stock crank is good for quite a bit more than 600 hp.

Stock crank should be good for at least 900rwhp. I'll bet you could go 600rwhp with your internals as long as you have an intercooler or meth (or both)...

oh yea, i changed my sig, it now displays the specs of the cam. Its basically a 222/224 but on a 115lsa. I wanted my motor to be cali smog friendly.
