Default Upgrade from a S-trim to a procharger

Thinking of selling my S-trim that has 1500miles on it. Now would a D1SC blow a S-trim out of the water? its hard to believe by what the manufactors say. i also have a brad brand tube and wondered if i could still use it for a procharger setup? only looking to push 10-12psi max...


Email me if anyone is interested in a S-trim head unit, mounting hardware and some parts.

Depending on who you talk to, the D1SC is somewhere between the T-trim and the YSi Vortechs, so you would be moving up in the blower range. The route I chose, since I wanted to keep the superquiet V-2 gearbox, is sell the S-trim and upgrade to the T-trim. The S-trim maxes out at ~680fwhp and the T at ~825fwhp, and they use the same brackets, so it's a plug n' play solution good up to about the high 6xx rwhp with a manual and low-to-mid 6xx rwhp with an auto. PM me if you want to know where I got the new head unit for a VERY nice price - they aren't sponsors.

One other thing - the T-trim blower inlet is 1/8" larger than the S-trim, so your inlet tube will need minor mods. I could only get 7.2# with the S-trim and now have hit 11.7# with the same motor (built 383) and the T-trim.

yeah thats the thing i hate how quite mine is. i love the sound of the procharger mean as hell.

i sure hope so.i am also running a 3 or 4 hundred shot of spray with it.look at the intake i just got.all ready for the spray!

3-400 shot?! You've that boost roughly doubles the affect of spray, right?

Looks good, but 300 shot might be a tad optimistic...

As far as the superquiet gearbox (V-2 Vortech), if you upgrade to the V-1 T-trim, you get the straight-cut gears and a lot more whine, and the same headroom on the horsepower. Still the same mounting brackets. Maybe that would work for you...

I'd like to see how long that thing stays together (f1r with a 400 shot LULZ), if you manage to keep it running, I'd like to know how you plan on hooking it lol.

The S-trim is capable of far more than most people realize. A long time ago, LJ was running 9.9's at almost 140 mph at full weight on a plain ole S-trim at 10 - 12 psi boost.

The T-trim is a good plug-n-play upgrade also, but you have to spin it faster to get the benefit.
