strange timing question
now lets assume you removed the blower and wanted to run the engine N/A and squeeze every last bit of hp out of it , how much timing can you put to that motor? should you start at 30 deg and work your way up?or did anyone try something different??
sorry for the strange question , but it involves a money race
, and i need to win
the blower is still on the camaro ( and so is the 427 motor
) , i took the old 408 out of the camaro and dropped it into a notch back mustang and decided to spray it
. i absoloutly love it on the direct pot system, but just to shut some bigshot ricer up over here , i want to run him N/A .thanks for the advice guys, going out tonight to do some "testing" , will see how it does

it had a bit of knock (1 deg) at 4100 rpm, which i expected since i had the timing table flat in that region ( should pull a few degrees from 4000 to 4500 i guess). i might take it to as far as 36 deg and see what it does .on to race gas tunning !

Th400 time though. i was really considering putting a turbo on the stang ( since i had the old camaro intercooler and some of the old camaro fule stuff, and a friend lended me his turbo- big one , not sure which
), where i would build the system on the stand , then duplicate it on his
that didn't work out ( i got lazy) and i went with the N2O system
