The cam is a 220 224 581 581 114lsa nothing to crazy. I would think the crane duals are stronger then the 918's right?

I will give a colder plug a shot since that is easy. I had the autolite 103's in first go around with no issues. What is the suggested gap?

Kane, by any chance did you check the crank sensor? I talked to a guy on base once who had a turbo 01 ws6 that Combo built. He had issues similar, and found it was the crank sensor.

do you know where the timing is at or where it goes after 5k?

if you don't i would check it.. if it doesnt have any timing it will dip off.

also make sure you are not hitting some boost cut on the controller.

I throw this out there as well since I know some info on his car. He is running a T76 P-Trim, not sure on the a/r. It's possible that he is hitting massive back pressure.

A very easy way to check that though is to turn the boost way down and see if it revs out more cleanly. It's best to installed a gage pre turbo though and actually measure the backpressure.

Kane, if you want to borrow my back pressure testing setup let me know, it's simple to install, all you need is a drill and a 1/8" NPT tap.

Jeremy, are you saying he is possibly having backpressure issues i.e. exhaust? Do you think it is because he is running manifolds on the 408 vs. headers? How would you resolve this if it is massive backpressure?

I could see it running out of turbo but the car is doing the same thing as the 1000 HP vet in this same forum. When you hit a little over 5k rpms it studders like you hit a rev limiter or blown out spark.

Is it possible that the crane dual is weaker than the 918's when uncompressed? Which could cause the valves to float under boost? I was thinking it only being the exhaust that is floating. Just some ideas.

Crane 832's can handle more than CC918's. I went 739rwhp with my 832's back in 2003 or 2004.
