Budget 6.0l boosted build up Questions Hey Guys i recently got my hands on a 6.0l long block It's an almost New LQ4<900miles on it>
Give me some ideas on what i need to do to make this thing survive with 12psi of boost
Also what would everyone recommend for a streetable Cam that would compliment the Procharger i have
what should my parts list include while i have the engine out?
I got a quote on a over bore to a 370ci ish motor with forged pistons and rods and all the other stuff <bolts gaskets>and a custom cam for $4600.00 is that too much?
I need your input on a good combo

if that includes the head work sound like great deal, I guess it would also depend on the quality of the parts they're putting in it.

Re: Budget 6.0l boosted build up Questions That Price includes no Head work stock Unmoleasted heads .Other stuff would be All gaskets assorted arp bolts and assembly and a balance resurface crank and blueprint balance block
I'm just not sure if it's such a good deal

6.0 bare block: $600 (new from GM)
6.0 stock crank: $100 (used from 01+ truck)
Machine work: $1000 (sonic, boring, o-ring, balance, assembly short block)
Pistons/rings: $500 (diamond)
H-beam rods: $400 (eagle)
cam: $400 (comp cams)
ARP head studs: $150
Heads: $1000 (used ARE stage II 6.0 heads)
head gaskets: $100 (cometic)
For your heads, Patriot is giving a good price on ported heads with larger valves. TEA is another good choice.
