ATI balancer assembly question (pics)
ATI balancer assembly question (pics) Just want to make sure I don't frick this up. Tell me if I have this thing together correctly... ATI's instructions blow. Thanks
I have the crank pulley on top of the hub (the shorter side) and the AC pulley coming up from the bottom side (like shown in the bottom pic) Do I have the AC pulley going on correctly?

This makes the most sense though. I did get a killer price on it...even better than Summit. Lonnie's Performance rocks
not sure on yours, but on the inside of my balancer (vette style 8 rib, a/c pulley delete) there was an alighnment marked that matched up with one on the hub-make sure if you have that, to line it up
The only other thing that doesn't make sense to me is how the supercharger pulley is able to sit flush on the ATI balancer with the bolts sticking up off it.

Depends whose pulley you have, the ATI balancer pulley has three bigger holes to clear the three bolts that hold the A/C pulley on and the other three attach it to the ATI damper.
Those other 3 holes that attach the ATI pulley on mine are not drilled out like his is, don't need them but odd that some have then and some don't.
Actually I think I might have it wrong. The vortech pulley comes with 6 bolts (3 long and 3 short) they are just like the ones that came with the ATI dampner but longer. Do these longer ones replace the ones ATI sent?
The newer dampers only have three holes drilled, you were lucky to find one with the six holes. Maybe they started drilling all six again.
For the 6 bolt Vortech
The longer bolts will go through to the AC pulley, replacing the ones ATI supplies.
The shorter ones bolt into the hub, in the 3 unused holes.

For where i'm at: I have the 6 flat head screws and that's all I put on. Then I put the supercharger pulley on and run the remaining six bolts (3 long through to the AC and 3 short to the balancer) correct? For some reason I thought you put the other bolts on then mount the supercharger pulley on top of them...lol

I'm pretty sure I got it together. I haven't tightened any of the bolts yet or used locktite. How did you guys put the whole assembly on?
Seems like the easiest would be to just put the hub + AC pulley on and then bolt on the crank pully, then the supercharger pulley. Might be issues lining them up doing it this way. Has anyone put the entire assembly on all at once? Any tricks?

If you put the AC pulley & hub on the engine first, Then it is easier to torque all the balancer bolts with the engine holding it from turning.
Just do not forget to slide the AC pulley on first, or you will have to pull it back apart.
