A 396 Procharger Which Cam
I am steping up from a 383 to a 396 fully fordged motor with trick flow heads factory intake and body. I was running 12.6 lbs boost
@ 6100 and made 602 rwhp and 564 ft lbs tq. my cam specs were Comp Cam 233/239 cam – duration@.050” - .569/.577 lift, Comp Cam springs Comp Cam Pro Mag 1.6 roller rockers/guide plates – non-self aligning Com Cam lifters. Is this a good blower cam or do i need to change.

I have been seeing Good gains on motors over 383 C.I. with stuff in the 235/245 114* I just haven't nailed one down enough to put our name on it. Should have another to test in the next week (14-16 #s)

I just spec'd out a similar motor (383 though, not 396).
comp cams suggested these cams:
For more street:
Comp Cams 07-467-8
576/570, 230/236, 113 lsa
Little more aggressive with less streetability:
Comp Cams: 07-468-8
584/579, 242/248, 113 lsa

I have a Comp solid roller 230/236 on 112LSA in my blown 383 and love it.
For the new 434 (moving the blower and heads over from the 383) I got a Comp solid roller 242/248 on 115LSA, but I haven't fired it up yet. That's the cam I chose based on advice from a few guys here and the Comp Tech. I wanted something that would not run out of cam until 6600-6800 with maybe 9# of boost.
