The core is 4.5" thick 7" tall and 44" wide. It uses two 2-1/4" inlets on the bottom tank ends and one 3.5" outlet in the center of the top tank. It's a monster and I had to build all brackets and intercooler piping from turbos to cooler and from cooler to engine(all mandrel stainless).
As for the price, I have too many hours in this thing to even think about duplicating it again therefore for now it will be a "one-off I'm never doing this **** again intercooler."![Bang Head](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_banghead.gif)
The car is almost done, I'm just waiting on a couple of more peices from Turbonetics.
Someone said it looks like the ls1motorsports intercooler. It is similar, but notice the relocated hoodlatch
No ugly hood pins sticking through the hood! Keeps the stock look.

Horsepower goals are pretty high, everything is built, block is iron, studded, and o-ringed, it has a monster fuel system, sumped tank, etc. Bottlekneck will be that I'm trying to stick with the stock computer for now. I talked to Mike and Jayson, the car should be started any day.
Should be interesting.

Wow, how much does it weigh??
What happens if the car is in a front end collision? Not only is the whole intercooler setup totalled but the whole car might be since I assume the front bumper support is out. Am I wrong?

Most F-body drag racers remove the front bumper support anyway, at least this one has something in place of it.
Just pay attention and drive safely..
BTW you haven't removed yours yet? You should try it, it might go faster!

Badass. So it should lower the temperature more once it's got more airflow (if Mike tested at idle and saw a 26 degree drop, I wonder what kind of temperature we'll see at 100Mph!)

ive been wanting to remove the bumper supports and all that foam-type stuff for some time to open up air right into the intercooler too. how difficult of a project is that?

It's not hard at all. I imagine if you took the front end off it would be enven easier. Only bit of warning I would give is that once you take out the foam the nose seems kind of flimsy.
