WRX @ over 5000' - need premium?
WRX @ over 5000' - need premium? My sister just picked up a 2003 WRX and the thing needs premium I guess, and I was curious if she would still need it in Colorado Springs, where she is moving next month.
I know in n/a engines you dont have to run it at altitude, but with a boost controller, you would still need premium at altitude, right?

Re: WRX @ over 5000' - need premium? Remember, the octane here in Colorado is lower.
85 = reg
87 = mid
91 = prem
She needs to run the 91. The turbo will work harder but will still run close to the same boost at this altitude (5800).
