Intercooler analyses. Some technical, but cool info. This old guy wants to beat some sort of land speed record set in 1927 in his Sunbeam 
Anyway, he and his Thermodynamic engineer buddy sat down and did some pretty technical calculations for ways to maximize the best intercooling setup for his turbo.

They seem to like air/water intercooling the best, as it is almost twice as efficient as air/air (when they chilled the water) The only bad thing about air/water is the water weight, but I think it much more than evens out in comparison to air/air intercooling.
