Yes it is possible. My previous shop car made over 770rwhp on 15 lbs of boost with a TC76MPS turbo. This was with a TH400 and 9 inch. The PT88 has the potential to make more.

how much would a 76gts make then, im on the4 fence for buying a turbo,. the pt88 looks much larger on the exhaust side(housing) will the 76gts be too restrictive to get the exhaust out?

The 76gts will work also for your setup just fine. I have used the 76gts on one of my kits and a 370 to 750rwhp easy. Just watch the back pressure. Its also what you want down the road. Remember boost is a drug...lol

Joel is correct. It is really about what your goals are and what they will be. A 76mm turbo will hit 750rwhp easy. The PT88 will too, and then some.

If 3.0 inline sixes can do it, a LS1 sure can with even better flowing heads and cubes

Do u have any exhaust pressure/ intake pressure reading to support your statement about the 76 having too much backpressure???

Why don't you spot your et goals instead of you hp goals. That pt88 would haul some *** but the tc76 on that motor would too. Depens on how far you want to push it.

it is a little of everything setup, i just want to make 1000 hp on the motor for advertising reasons, anywhere in the 9s would be fine, but really all around here is 1/8 so 6s would be easy to fall into, 5.9s i think would be a tone of work.

my friend has one on has camaro and it had a lot of measured back pressure and from what ive read a lot of other people have had the same problems......I ran a pt88 for a few years and I mawxed out my set-up at that time with about 24 psi and that was good for about 900-950 at the wheels..more could be gained if I tweeked the set-up.

It will make the power you are wanting it to...no problem. You motor will thank you for choosing the 88 over the 76.
